For this project I was tasked to create a type specimen book. A type specimen is a publication that shows the range of

a particular typeface in use. Created on a 7x7in page, I chose to research and create content about the typeface Montserrat.

The purpose of this assignment was to create a multipage layout and research the history and purpose of said typeface.

The content of the book includes variations of the typeface, its anatomy, and what it had been used for in the past. For the theme of the book I played with different words that sound similar to Montserrat, such as monsters and monstera plants.

Drafts and Ideas for the content of the book. In order to gain audience attention, I filled the contents of the book with similar objects that play off the word Montserrat as well as its first purpose; street signs.
